WeddingWire, the nation’s leading wedding technology company, just announced that L.A. Botanicals has won the 2009 Bride’s Choice Awards!
In its inagural year, the Bride’s Choice Awards recognizes and honors vendors from the WeddingWire Network that demonstrate excellent quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value of cost and flexibility. This year’s recipients represent the top three percent of Wedding Wire’s vendor community, which includes over 100,000 wedding vendors from across the U.S.
Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the company, the Bride’s Choice Awards are determined exclusively by recent newlyweds thruogh surveys and reviews.
“We are excited to launch this annual award program to honor high-performing vendors based solely on the experiences of our WeddingWire community,” according to Timotny Chi, WeddingWire’s chief Executive Office. “This year’s recipients have set the bar high, exhibiting excellent service and expertise in the wedding industry.”
L.A. Botanicals would like to thank our past clients for speaking on our behalf and helping us win the 2009 Bride’s Choice Award!
Mother’s Day at the Flower Market
Thought we’d share a few photos from the downtown L.A. flower market where we buy most of our flowers.
Since Jay worked at Mayesh Wholesale (one of the market’s largest wholesalers) for so many years before opening the shop, he has many great relationships with growers and knows where to get the best product!
Flowers arrive daily at the flower market from every corner of the earth (except maybe Antarctica.) Roses from Ecuador, Calla lilies and Orchids from New Zealand, Tulips from Holland, along with dozens of varieties from our beautiful state of California and hundreds more from around the globe.
Every year, more than 250,000 members of the public visit the market.

Pink is the sine qua non of spring flowers, as you can see from the beautiful shades shown here.
This amazing display consists of just two branches from an organic flowering Dogwood tree, paired with cascading Phaelanopsis orchids all around in smaller tapered vases.
We just installed this lobby display at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Marina del Rey. Perfect for the Mother’s Day brunches this weekend!
